This Privacy Policy explains how SnapStudio (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects your information
when you use the SnapStudio mobile application and related services (“Services”).
We are an individual developer based in Hong Kong.

1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide, information generated by your use of the Services, and device/network information.
- Account information: email address (when you sign up/sign in with email); sign-in tokens; basic profile fields you choose to set (e.g., username, full name, website).
- Apple Sign in: when you use “Sign in with Apple”, we receive an authentication token (ID token) to complete sign-in via our backend authentication provider.
- Photos and generated content: images you capture or select, plus generation parameters (style, prompts, aspect ratio, lighting, creativity, etc.) that you submit for processing; generated result image URLs; task history metadata.
- Push notifications: if you enable notifications, we and our push provider receive identifiers such as device token / push subscription identifiers to deliver notifications. We may link push identifiers with your user ID for messaging.
- Purchase & subscription information: subscription status, purchase history needed to provide premium features (payment is processed by Apple; we do not receive your full payment card details).
- Device fingerprint and anti-abuse signals: we generate a device fingerprint and store it in your device Keychain; it may include IDFV, device model, OS version, app version, screen resolution, time zone, and system language; we may also collect your IP address for fraud prevention and abuse protection.
- Usage and diagnostics: app usage events and interaction data for analytics (see “Analytics & Tracking”).
- Local storage & cache: we store certain data on-device (e.g., sign-in state, preferences, cached images) to make the app function and perform better.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide, operate and maintain the Services (account, login, task submission, generation results, history).
- Process images and parameters to generate results and display them back to you.
- Deliver push notifications (if enabled).
- Manage subscriptions and entitlement status.
- Detect, prevent and investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents (including device fingerprint and IP signals).
- Analyze usage to improve product performance and user experience.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:
- With service providers that help us operate the Services (authentication, database, cloud functions, push notifications, subscriptions, analytics).
- For legal reasons if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- With your consent or at your direction.
4. Third-Party Services
Based on the current implementation, our Services may use the following third-party providers:
- Supabase (authentication, database, server-side functions): https://supabase.com/privacy

- OneSignal (push notifications, notification service extension): https://onesignal.com/privacy_policy
- OpenPanel (analytics, automatic tracking enabled): please refer to OpenPanel’s published privacy information (if available) and your device settings.

These providers may process certain data on our behalf. Their processing is governed by their own privacy policies.
5. Analytics & Tracking
We use analytics (OpenPanel) to understand how users use the app and to improve our Services.
This may include automatic collection of events such as screen views, interactions, and device/app properties.
You can limit some tracking through iOS settings. If we introduce additional tracking technologies in the future, we will update this policy.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data until you delete it and/or delete your account, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
Cached data on your device (such as image cache) may persist for a period of time to improve performance.
7. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8. Your Rights & Choices
- Access / correction / deletion: you can request access to or deletion of your data by contacting us.
- Account deletion: you can delete your account in the app (where available). Account deletion will remove or de-identify data associated with your account, subject to legal requirements.
- Notifications: you can enable/disable notifications in iOS Settings.
9. International Transfers
We are based in Hong Kong, and we may use service providers that operate in other countries/regions.
Your information may be transferred and processed outside your jurisdiction.
10. Children
The Services are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and may provide additional notice in the app.
